Job Responsibilities
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and completion of a PHN course within one (1) year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification. (Please mail or bring a copy of College Transcript or Diploma to Interview—must have official transcript prior to start date). This position requires the ability to lift up to 45 lbs., and the ability to bend and reach up

Job Responsibilities
- Provides customer service
- Maintains HIPAA standards related to Privacy and Security
- Obtains Health History
- Provides comprehensive assessments of male/female patients, which may include genitalia exams
- Collects specimens, performs lab tests, including pregnancy tests, and conducts microscopic assessments
- Provides education, treatment, and administers medications and vaccinations
- Maintains CPR Certification
- May conduct home visits, participate in health fairs, serve on committees, and make presentations
- Respond to Public Health Emergencies

Additional Information
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Baccalaureate-level health assessment course
- Previous employment with any state’s Department of Public Health or a County Board of Health
- Experience in providing clinical services in the areas of Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Infections, and Immunizations
- Experience with performing physical exams on males and females, including the genitalia
- TB experience, such as contact investigation, treatments, including Direct Observation Therapy
- Bilingual (Spanish), ability to interpret and translate health care information orally and in writing from English into (Spanish) and from (Spanish) into English.
