Northeast Georgia Chapter of AACN

Chapter News Update/Survey

Posted about 6 years ago by April Mangum

Hello All,

Survey:

The Northeast Georgia Chapter of AACN would like for you to complete our survey. We want to know what meeting times would be best for you and your schedule increasing your ability to attend meetings. There are other questions as well that will assist us in future planning. Please take a moment to complete this short survey. It will be open for about a month, and we will let you know the results.

Community service:

Our chapter is collecting the following for needs in our community:

Fleece blankets for Pallative Care project in the MICU at NGMC. The MICU is giving patients at end of life fleece blankets for comfort. These blankets stay with the patient during the rest of their stay, and then go with the family. Donations may be given to Diane Haywood.

Snacks for patients at Good News Clinics: The Good News Clinics needs snacks for hypoglycemic patients. They keep available small packs of crackers and juice for patients experiencing hypoglycemia. Please see April Mangum for donations.

Fundraiser for Chapter:

Our chapter is interested in fundraiser projects to benefit our chapter. Monies obtained will help support future chapter meetings, assist members in attending Region 6 and NTI, and support community service. Some ideas that have been shared include Tshirt sales, yard sale, walk/run event. Other ideas are welcome. Please email us with your ideas and indicate on the survey those you might be interested in supporting.

Upcoming meeting/event: Our next event will be in mid April. We are planning a social outing. Please be on the lookout for more news on this in the next weeks.

Lastly, I would like to thank all that came out for the last meeting. A big thanks to Edwards Lifesciences for their support and education.

I am always happy to answer any questions about our chapter or AACN. Please let me know how I can be of assistance.

Regards

April Mangum
